Sagittarius, it's 2020! Welcome to a new year!
As in recent years, you'll see a big focus on money during 2020. Some of that will shift mid-year, giving you new perspectives that will help you move ahead quickly on new projects.

Starting in 2008, when Pluto took up residence in Capricorn, your second house of money you earn, you've had to go deep on improving fiscal health. Saturn joined in on this mandate, entering Capricorn in late 2018 and urging you to embrace maturity about spending and saving. At the end of 2019, your ruling planet, Jupiter, also entered Capricorn, to stay until nearly the close of 2020.
As if that weren't enough, at the start of this year you also have the great communicator, Mercury, and the Sun in this house. The good news: these newer entrants are lightening your load in some ways, bringing a more cheerful energy and optimism about your future.
At the same time, the eclipses that come along every five and a half months have been occurring in Cancer and Capricorn - your two money houses - for the past year. Eclipses are tied to the movements of the Moon's nodes, and in May, the nodes will leave Cancer and Capricorn (where eclipses have brought dramatic change to how, where, and what you earn) and move into Gemini (your seventh house of marriage and partnerships) and Sagittarius (your personality and pet projects area). Anything affecting these two houses tends to have ripple effects on your home, career, and almost all major departments of life.
After years of hard work, prepare for some forward progress, perhaps on a personal project you can bankroll now, thanks to smart financial management.
Meanwhile, Uranus in Taurus, your sixth house of daily routine and work, will continue upending life with surprises that keep you on your toes. Uranus will stay here through 2025, giving you brilliant ideas for improving work processes or perhaps changing jobs or careers to free you from unnecessary constraints. This planet also will help you improve health with help from an unusual expert or some form of technology. The sixth house also rules pets, so you might adopt a furry pal or decide to volunteer at an animal shelter.
Venus and Mars, the two planets that go retrograde the least, will move in retrograde during 2020, affecting marriage and partnerships as well as romance (and children and creativity).
Venus will turn backwards in the sky in Gemini, which oversees your seventh house of marriage and business partnerships. Interactions with your sweetheart or a business connection such as your attorney or agent may feel lackluster or even a little unfriendly. This phase will last through May and June, so give each other time and space and use this period to review what you value most about your partner.
Mars will go retrograde in Aries, which rules your fifth house of children, creative projects, romance, and entertainment. This period will run from September through November, and it will feel like life in these areas has come to a halt - and that will be on target, because Mars retrograde saps energy and grinds things to a stop. Let it be that way. Slow down, even stop what you're doing, so you can mull over all areas in this house and let go of whatever you've outgrown (and fix what needs improvement) once the retrograde ends.
